About Us

The story of Luedke Bros. began in 1914 when Herman and Max Luedke opened their meat market in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. From the very start, their bratwurst stood out for its exceptional taste and quality, earning a reputation among locals and visitors alike.
For 82 years, the Luedke Bros. meat market served the community, contributing to Sheboygan’s recognition as the Bratwurst Capital of the World.
Although the original meat market eventually closed, the Luedke Bros. legacy lives on. Today, the company produces an easy-to-use mix that faithfully replicates the classic, old-fashioned bratwurst flavor using the finest spices. The Luedke Bros. of today was founded by one of Herman’s grandsons to celebrate Wisconsin’s rich bratwurst history.
The company’s dedication did not stop there. The next product introduced was tomato basil soup mix, honoring Wisconsin’s cheese industry, as grilled cheese & tomato basil soup have become a beloved pairing. Luedke Bros. is dedicated to producing easy-to-use dry mixes for the home culinarian that celebrate the food traditions of the United States.
Each mix is crafted in small batches using only the finest ingredients. While Luedke Bros. Meat Market is gone, its influence remains. The dedication to quality continues in the bratwurst patty mix as well as other easy-to-use mixes, ensuring that the tradition is not forgotten. All mixes are shelf stable.
